We're off to see the Da Vinci Code (Friday, 9:45 p.m.)

    Update
    (the morning after):

Okay, we fell asleep during part of the movie, but it was so darn slow. We had really hoped that this would have been an exquisite cinematic work, because we like to be entertained when we spend 8 bucks for a ticket 9 bucks for a large Coke and Nachos, but this wasn't a good movie.

To all my Christian brothers and sisters who are up in arms about the Da Vinci Code, don't be. This was a slow movie that leaves moviegoers languishing in their seats looking at their watches. When it finally takes off, it come across like the director was grasping for straws. Don't get us wrong, there were some great action scenes and wonderful cinematography. Ian McKellen was pretty good, although we perfer him as Gandalf and Magneto.

Even some of the pagan-looking ilk, who had gotten in line two hours early to get the first seats, were overheard talking about how weak the movie was while walking out of the theater.

We are going to pick up the book today in hopes of being entertained.
